Hi everyone! I'm back from my 1 week vacation.
Monday ~ Sunday
I went to Tokyo. The main purpose was for my 1st daughter's commencement ceremony.
It was held at the Chinzanso hotel, one of the most beautiful in Tokyo.
The day after the ceremony, Wednesday, I woke up early and drove to Nikko with my wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law.
It was very cold and snowing!! I thought it would only snow lightly, but it snowed FOR REAL!!!
It snowed heavily, and by the time we arrived in Nikko everything was almost completely white.
It was amazing!!




We stayed at an onsen, and the next morning I took a walk by myself.
I found animal tracks from some small animal, a deer, and then ... a BEAR! ( I think )
I quickly returned to the hotel. Later we drove higher up into the mountains to Chuzenji lake.
It was so beautiful!
On the way, we saw 1 monkey. Coming down the mountain, I got out of the car to take some photos.
I didn't notice at first, but there were two deer about 30 meters away!
I shot them ... with my camera ;)

The sun came out, and when we got to the bottom of the mountain, all the snow was gone, and it was suddenly spring time again!
I can't tell you how beautiful it was.
Probably, combining the two days, one of winter wonder and one of colorful spring, it was the top 5 most beautiful scenes I've ever seen. (One, two, and three were in the mountains in California during sunset, the snow of Alaska, and the sea and mountains in the Philippines.)
Maybe Nikko is number 4??? Probably.

I also took a day to go to Yokohama. I visited China Town, and went to the cup ramen museum.


Yokohama seems like a very nice city. Unfortunately, I didn't feel very well on that day. :(

The final interesting part of my trip was flying close to Motobu peninsula and seeing Ie Jima, Mina Island, and Motobu.
It looks sooo different from the air.

　月曜日から日曜日まで東京に行きました。
一番の目的は長女の入学式です。
東京で最もきれいなホテルのひとつである椿山荘で行われました。
入学式の翌日の水曜日に、私は早く起きて、妻と義理の母、妹を車に乗せ、日光に向かいました。
そこはとっても寒くて、雪も降っていました！
雪はちらちら少しだけだろうと思いましたが、本格的に降っていました！
大雪で、私たちが着いた時にはほとんど全てが雪で覆われていました。
本当にすごかったです。

　私たちは温泉旅館に泊まりました。
次の朝、私はひとりで散歩に出ました。
そこでは、小さな動物や鹿の足跡、さらには・・・熊の足跡もあったのです！！（私が思うに）
熊の足跡をみてすぐにホテルに帰りました。
そのあと、私たちは中禅寺湖に向けて車で山を登って行きました。
すっごく綺麗でした！！
道中、山から下りてくる一匹の猿を見つけました。
写真を撮ろうと思い、車から降りました。
最初は気付かなかったのですが、約３０メートル先に２頭の鹿がいたのです！
鹿もきっちり写真に収めました ；）

　太陽が出てきて、私たちが山の麓に着いた時には雪はもう溶けていて、突然また春の陽気が戻ってきました！
言葉にできないほど美しかったです。
多分、冬の感動と色鮮やかな春の二日間を合わせたら今までで見た景色のトップ５に入ると思います!
（一つ目は夕焼けのカリフォルニアの山々、二つ目はアラスカの雪、三つ目はフィリピンの海と山です）
日光は４番目かな？？？

　私たちは横浜にも行って、横浜中華街、カップラーメンミュージアムに行きました。
横浜はとってもいい街のように思いました。残念ながら、私の体調はあまり良くなかったのですが：（

　この旅で面白かった最後のことは、帰りの飛行機で本部半島の近くを飛んだことです。
伊江島、水納島、そして本部が見えて、空からの眺めはいつもと違って見えました。
